Our biorefinery platform separates invasive algae into multiple valuable ingredients, each with its own function and commercial application.

We are advancing towards our first industrial-scale biorefinery in Kokkola, Finland. The project brings ingredient development and industrial engineering together as we prepare for the next stage of production.

OUR IMPACT

Change what goes into products. Change what comes out of the ocean.

Invasive Sargassum blooms place pressure on coastal ecosystems and communities. We use this biomass as a raw material for ingredients.

Through biorefining, we recover valuable compounds and develop uses for the remaining biomass. This creates an industrial reason to collect invasive algae and puts more of its material value to work.

Our mission is Washing the Oceans. Our work connects that mission to ingredient performance, customer products and industrial production.
